These shots show parts of the Loch from Balloch to Tarbet halfway up the Loch where you turn left to travel through the Glen to Arrochar on Loch Long, and then past a Mountain known as 'The Cobbler' which is 2981 ft high. This takes you to Strone at the top of Loch Fyne. You are now in ROB ROY Country, the Highlands of Scotland.
.

You can stop off at Tarbet and have a Sail on Loch Lomond if you wish, one of the pictures above shows the Pleasure Boats at Tarbet where there are good hotels and a nice visitor centre with Cafe looking over to Ben Lomond

Rest and be Thankful Loch Fyne Oysters Loch Fyne

The road on the left is known as the 'Rest and be thankful' as it used to be a problem for cars in the early days of travel. Centre is the Loch Fyne Oyster Bar Restaurant and Cafe, always worth a stop, and the next is Loch Fyne where your Oysters will come from !!
